Cozy Nail & Spa, open since March 2019, is a minority-woman-owned business located in the heart of Alexandria, VA. When we purchased the salon, we invested a lot into improving the space by renovating and upgrading with all new equipment. It’s heartbreaking to stay closed during the busiest times of the year, as we've been planning for a successful spring/summer season to help pay for the renovations.
The global pandemic has affected many industries, and small businesses like ours have been impacted significantly by statewide stay-at-home orders. We have been compliant to ensure that we minimize the spread of this disease for the safety of our customers and employees. Because we are deemed a non-essential business, we have been closed since the end of March, when the mandate was set forth by Virginia’s Governor Northam.
We know it's a difficult time as many have been affected by the COVID-19 related economic crisis. However, if you have anything to spare, no amount is too little. The funds collected will be put towards helping the business survive: rent, utilities, and relief for our nail technicians currently without jobs.
Mia Chang, owner of the nail salon, moved to NY from South Korea many years ago and now resides in Annandale, VA. She has two children, two daughter-in-laws, 2 grandchildren, 2 grand-cats and a grand-dog.
Thank you to all of our customers for your love and support in the last year and for welcoming us into the community. We look forward to pampering you again when we can re-open.
